Hi Favianna,
I don't know if you remember me, but we met and worked together briefly in 99' during the UC Berkeley pro-ethnic studies protests and rallies. I've come across your work so many times before, and I'm so happy to see how you've been able to marry your talents with your passion for social justice and community activism.
Congratulations on your new book- I just bought a copy off KPFA and I can't wait to check it out.
If you get a chance to get in touch, please do. I'm currently teaching at Foothill College and I'd love to be able to have some of my students connect with you to learn more about your art and activism.
Congratulations again, and hope to hear from you soon.
