« Back to 083. Mural in Cuzco, Peru by Juan Bravo
In this closeup you see the celebration of the Inti Raymi, the celebration to the sun, the most sacred element to the Inca (Quechua) people. We see a woman with a bowl of coca leaves. We see a black llama. The Incas sacrified a black llama to their sun god, the Inti. You also see an Inca mummy in the gold chair. It was customary to celebrate with the decesed ancestors, and often they were adorned in gold and colorful jewels.
