Another close up of the beginning of the mural which tells the story of the Cuzco, the city of the Inca empire. This portion of the piece is filled with detail. In the far background we see the mountain of Macchu Picchu, a beautiful city that was thankfully never reached by the Spanish invaders. You also see the indios toiling to build their city, and killing their enemies as well. Note that the mural has not told the story of the invasion and conquest. That comes later in the piece. In the top far right you see llamas crossing a bridge. The llama was the animal of the Inca, capable of carrying heavy weight and withstanding the altitude of the mountains. On the far right you also see the Incas moving the huge piece of rock that they used to build their city, a truly magnificent act that has yet to be explained.
