Macre shows off his finished wood cut. Macre is a special being to me. He was one of my most committed students during my printmaking workshop in Mexico City. When I first met him, I thought he was going to give me trouble. But he turned out to be one of the most reliable and talented young printmakers. In May of this year, our Taller brought him to the Bay Area. I took this photo with my camera phone, and I love it, except for the Nike logo which ruins the shot.
En esta foto, el artista Macre nos muestra un grabado sombre una pedazo de madera. Macre fue unos de mis alumnos en el taller de serigrafia que enseñe durante mi estancia en la Ciudad de Mexico. El realmente fue unos de mis alumnos mas sobresalientes y me impresiono mucho sus obras y su dedicacion. Todo me gusta de la foto excepto el signo de Nike.
